Strange snail

I wasnt sure where to post this really! I am new to this forum! I found a snail in one of my tanks a few days ago and I am having trouble finding out what type of snail it is, someone I know of another forum suggested I ask here. He isn't very big at the moment but he has a red body and a conical shaped shell which is brown, almost the same colour as a bladder snails shell. If anyone can help me identify him it would be really useful, as I don't know if he is dangerous to my other snails and my fish, also if I know what type of snail he is I can find out if he has any special requirements. If you need a picture please ask and I will try and post one.
